Is it important for you to have a job where you make a difference every day and which is also developing and responsible? Are you passionate about protecting Sweden and democracy and have an interest in defense and security policy? Then you should apply for the position of operational case officer in security intelligence.
Our mission is Sweden's Security
This is your mission
The Security Police's mission is complex. Preventing crimes against Sweden's security is about staying one step ahead, both in the short-term work of detecting and averting threats here and now, and in the more long-term work. The Security Police actively works to assess and reduce the intentions and capabilities of threat actors to conduct security-threatening activities against Sweden and Swedish interests.
In the role of intelligence case officer, your work focuses on handling and driving operational cases and operations within the frameworks of counterintelligence and non-proliferation. You process operational information in databases, direct intelligence gathering, and plan and implement operational threat-reducing measures in collaboration with other authorities. Compiling intelligence summaries that serve as a basis for decisions and operational measures is an important part of the work. As a member of the team, you also communicate and collaborate with national and international partners and play an important role in and contribute to the unit's ongoing methodological and development work.
Your placement is at the headquarters in Solna, and the work is performed on-site, which means you cannot work remotely. Travel within and outside Sweden occurs.

Only those who meet the following requirements can be considered for the position.
Requirements:
- Relevant academic degree, police degree, or other education and experience that the Security Police deems equivalent.
- Good IT skills and experience using various IT systems and databases

- Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

You who apply may also have competencies that add breadth and complementary perspectives. If you can contribute with one or more of the following, it is meritorious:
- Experience in intelligence work within the national intelligence system
- Experience in other police activities
- Experience working within Swedish public administration
- Experience analyzing complex cross-border corporate structures
- Experience working with cyber threats/crimes
- Experience with data-driven working methods and/or technical understanding
- Good and relevant language skills (for example, in Russian and Chinese)
- Experience gathering and compiling information from open sources
- Experience in method development relevant to the unit's operations
This is the colleague we are looking for
We place great importance on your personal qualities and are looking for someone who is engaged and responsible. You are unpretentious and have an easy time independently driving your work forward.
To thrive in this role, you need the ability to handle operational questions that may need to be judged on short notice and with incomplete information. Our everyday life is influenced by events in our surroundings, and our days do not always look as we planned. This requires that you are a problem solver who is eager to take initiative, is analytical, and can prioritize and quickly switch between planned and event-driven activities when needed. You find it easy to manage several parallel assignments simultaneously.
Structure and accuracy are important to you, and you are good at planning and prioritizing your work, even during periods of high workload.
You enjoy working both independently and in a team. You like to collaborate and work together with different professional roles within the authority and can clearly and trustworthily share information with different target groups. Through your good collaborative skills, you build relationships based on trust and confidence.
The Security Police places high demands on security and confidentiality, therefore we expect you to have a high security awareness.
