Your Workplace

As a special educator at Lunnaskolan F-3, you will be part of the student health team alongside principals, special teachers, school counselors, school nurses, and school psychologists. You will work preventively and promote students to meet knowledge requirements. You will collaborate with the school's teachers and others in the student health team to provide our students with what they need to develop as far as possible. As a special educator at Lunnaskolan, you will primarily work with investigations regarding students in need of special support and directly with students who require special support, either individually or in groups. You will document, guide teachers, and collaborate with teachers and guardians. You will participate in EHT meetings that the school holds every week.

Lunnaskolan is a F-3 school in Landvetter with after-school care and adapted primary school. The students come from the local area, Önneröd and Tahult. The school consists of three buildings and a playground that invites many different games and activities.

We offer recess activities every morning with the goal of providing students with greater variation in games/activities that promote cooperation, movement, and cohesion. Our latest addition during the morning recess is the Toy Bank, which offers play materials for lending. In the bank, students from grade 3 take turns being responsible for the play materials. This gives students increased opportunities for participation, influence, and responsibility.

About 400 students attend the school in grades F-3. There is a high level of competence among the educators, which provides conditions for good quality. We strive to take advantage of children's play and creativity. The school is located in a residential area in Landvetter with nature at its doorstep. It is five hundred meters to our own school forest and the Landehof exercise trail, which is frequently used. There are parking spaces adjacent to the school, but also close to public transport.

We are looking for someone who is positive and proactive and can actively contribute to our school development work, a good climate, and collaborative development. You need to have an inclusive approach and meet each student based on their conditions and needs. In your work, you will also guide other adults, so you need to be a team player who wants, can, and dares to lead colleagues.

Your Assignment

As a special educator at Lunnaskolan, you will primarily work with:

• Investigations regarding students in need of special support
• Direct work with students who require special support.
• Documentation
• Guidance for teachers
• Collaboration with teachers and guardians and others in student health

You will also participate in EHT meetings that we have every week.

The position is a permanent position.

Requirements for the Position

We are looking for someone who has a license as a special educator. Experience in a school environment is an advantage.

To obtain employment, a criminal record extract from the police must be presented.
