Lilla Edet Municipality is looking for an engaged and competent study and career counselor for our adult education.

Description

As a study and career counselor, you are an important support for adult students in their educational and career choices. You help them make informed decisions and show opportunities to change their life situation. With us, there is no on-site teaching – instead, we offer education through the Gothenburg Region (GR) and contracted distance education. Your role will be central in guiding our residents to the right skills for work and studies.

Responsibilities

• Guidance through planned conversations, digital meetings, phone hours, and drop-in.
• Initial mapping and establishment of individual study plans.
• Motivate and inspire applicants for future career choices.
• Administrative tasks related to admissions and study support.
• Close collaboration with the principal of adult education and participation in GR's network for study and career counselors.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a trained study and career counselor.
• Has experience in guidance, preferably within adult education.
• Has good knowledge of regulations regarding admissions, eligibility, and student aid.
• Has good administrative skills and IT knowledge.
• Is used to working digitally and interested in developing new digital working methods. Experience with the student registration system Edlevo is an advantage.
• Has the ability to work independently and collaborate in a team.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
