We are looking for an experienced mechanical designer for an assignment in the defense industry, focusing on advanced marine systems. You will play an important role in both system and detail design related to ship projects, where you will also support installation and production in a technically complex environment.

• Develop arrangements and placement of components in a ship environment
• Analyze and design light and heavy steel structures
• Provide support to production and installation during execution
• Work with 3D modeling and product administration in the client's tools

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3–7 years of experience as a mechanical designer
• Experience from the defense industry and ship design
• Good knowledge of 3D modeling and product administration in Creo and Windchill (or equivalent)
• Good knowledge of sheet metal design, piping design, drafting techniques, and manufacturability (bending, welding, machining)
• Industry experience from marine, offshore, vehicle, or mechanical industry
• Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Ability to undergo and pass a security clearance (requires Swedish citizenship, dual citizenship is not permitted)

• Understanding of classification rules (DNV, RMS) and AFS
