Who are we?

The Department of Business, Culture and Sports belongs to the Growth and Development Office. We consolidate the municipality's efforts to strengthen growth, attractiveness, and development. Our common mission is to create favorable conditions for entrepreneurship and contribute to making Norrköping a place where businesses want to establish, grow, and stay.

In the Business and External Relations unit, we work together to stimulate entrepreneurship, create growth in existing businesses, and attract new establishments and investments. The work is based on actively using existing and new contact routes, being proactive, and meeting entrepreneurs in a professional and relationship-building manner.

We are now strengthening our team with two business developers who complement each other and together contribute to an even stronger business support in Norrköping municipality.

Your tasks

The business developers we are looking for work with different focuses. One role has a strategic and overarching responsibility, while the other role has an operational and general role. Regardless of the area of responsibility, you work towards a common goal – to create the best possible conditions for entrepreneurship in Norrköping.

In the role of business developer with strategic and overarching responsibility, you work with the business climate and development. You drive development initiatives, develop working methods, analyze results, and coordinate the municipality's efforts to strengthen dialogue and service to the business community. The role may include a function as a group leader for the business climate, where you, together with colleagues, get to shape structures, working methods, and culture in a new organizational model at an early stage.

In the role of business developer with an operational and general focus, you work closely with businesses in their daily operations. You build relationships, capture needs, participate in networks, and are an active part of the municipality's outward face towards the business community. This role complements the strategic function and strengthens the daily capacity of the team.

In both roles, you collaborate across unit boundaries, have contact with companies in various industries, and work broadly to strengthen Norrköping's conditions as a business municipality.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a university degree in economics, engineering, marketing, or another relevant field, or equivalent work experience deemed relevant by the employer.

You have experience in sales or marketing (B2B) as well as project management. It is advantageous if you have experience in driving development work, analyzing operations, and developing methods. It is also beneficial if you have experience working with business-related issues, such as business development, business collaboration, or business promotion. Experience in public sector work is a plus.

As a person, you have a genuine interest in local business life, relationship building, and development issues, and thrive in a role where you are close to both businesses and colleagues. You easily take initiative, see the big picture, and inspire others.

You enjoy dialogue, being part of internal and external networks, and navigate comfortably in business environments where you are confident in creating relationships and being the municipality's contact point. You work flexibly, solution-oriented, and structured, and enjoy having many balls in the air.

Furthermore, you have a high organizational awareness with an understanding of the organization's structure, politics, and goals.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is seen as positive if you have a B driver's license.
