Your tasks
Welcome to Kärna home care and assisted living! We are now looking for two employees who want to make a difference for our customers.

As a nursing assistant/caregiver at the assisted living facility, you start by picking up your phone and getting an overview of the day's tasks. You then visit the users, either by car, bicycle, or on foot, and offer support and care based on their individual needs and wishes according to IBIC (Individual Needs in Center). Your tasks may include personal care, assistance during meals, social interaction, cleaning, cooking, shopping, and laundry. You will also perform health and medical tasks delegated by a nurse.

The work is independent, but you always have access to support from colleagues. You also collaborate with home healthcare, rehabilitation staff, management, and administration. The position includes being a contact person for a number of users. You are responsible for establishing and documenting implementation plans and for maintaining contact with relatives and other care institutions. All documentation is done in the digital journal system Treserva.

Working hours are scheduled for daytime, evenings, and weekends, and the position is at 100% employment rate.

Your workplace
Kärna assisted living, operated by the Care and Social Services Administration, is located on Kärnabrunnsgatan in Malmslätt and consists of 36 assisted living apartments where residents receive support from home care services. The residence has pleasant outdoor areas by the dining room and at the back, surrounded by greenery. In addition to the residents of the assisted living facility, we also help individuals living at home in central Malmslätt and in the countryside. We work closely with nurses and rehabilitation teams to meet each individual's needs.

At the workplace, you will be part of a team of about 30 employees, most of whom are nursing assistants. We value community and a pleasant work environment. To promote this, we regularly gather after morning visits to assess the users' situations and share experiences. Every four weeks, workplace meetings (APT) are held to discuss development issues and ensure continuous improvement.

Who you are
For the position, you need to have at least completed a high school education. It is an advantage if you are a trained nursing assistant with a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare. To have good prerequisites, you need to have worked in care, support, and assistance with experience in delegated health and medical tasks. It is advantageous if you have previously worked in home care. Furthermore, it is required that you have experience with digital tools, documentation, and record-keeping, have a B driver's license, and can cycle.

Working in elderly care involves many customer contacts and documentation, which requires good oral and written skills in Swedish.

As a person, you are self-driven, responsible, and proactive in your work. You find it easy to collaborate, are clear in communication, and possess a good empathetic ability. You can quickly adapt to changes and adjust your approach according to new circumstances.
