Care Assistant at Birgittagården

About the Position

We work in teams around the residents. In this ad, we are recruiting for five permanent positions between 75% and 80%. The schedule includes day and evening shifts as well as every other weekend, and we apply a fixed schedule. One department has short-term accommodation and respite care for residents with dementia diagnoses.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Personal care for residents, such as assistance with hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Delegation from a nurse regarding medication, wound care, and sampling.
• Participate in planning and implementing activities for the residents.
• Provide support and care to residents and their relatives.
• Collaborate with other healthcare staff to ensure good care and support for residents.

About You

For this position, you need to:

• Be a trained care assistant and have applied for a protected professional title.
• Have good computer skills as documentation is done digitally.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is also advantageous if you have:

• Experience with mental health issues and geriatric diseases.
• Experience working with dementia.

Birgittagården is a care and nursing home in Rimbo. Birgittagården has a total of 8 departments with 74 apartments. We also have a short-term accommodation with respite care and a day service with guests on weekdays. With us, we offer both recurring joint activities and activities for individuals based on their wishes and needs. Small activities in everyday life, such as sitting down and talking for a while, looking at photographs, fixing hair, or perhaps painting nails, are valued just as much as a joint outing or a crayfish party. There are many opportunities for residents to socialize in various places in the house. During the summer, several joint activities take place on the units' outdoor terrace/garden.
