The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest authority with approximately 40,000 employees across the country. With us, you have the opportunity to contribute to the Police's mission – to increase safety and reduce crime in society. We are now looking for a Technical Product Specialist for the Financial Systems group, part of the National Administrative Systems section, with a primary focus on modern IT solutions for the Police Authority's internal operations.

About the workplace

The main task of the IT department is to provide IT services to the entire Police Authority. The IT department develops and modernizes police IT, and the authority invests significantly in strengthening the department with new specialist skills and the latest technology for the benefit of citizens and employees in the police operations.

The Financial Systems group is responsible for several IT services such as the police's financial, purchasing, and cash systems. We consist of 16 people working in open office environments centrally located in Kungsholmen, Stockholm, and in Linköping. The group includes project leaders, technical product specialists, technical specialists, and test leaders. The group works closely with the Police Authority's internal operations, primarily within NOA, Finance, HR, and the IT department.

You will be based in Stockholm or Linköping, and there is an option to work from home up to two days a week. As a government employee at the Police Authority, you will be offered competitive benefits regarding pension, parental pay, wellness, etc.

Job Responsibilities

As a Technical Product Specialist with us, you will be part of a team that has overall responsibility for both new development and maintenance of our products. You will be part of a team that creates customized solutions and features within Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Supply Chain. We deliver user-centered and smart solutions aimed at different user groups within police operations. We work closely with the operations in short iterations to quickly and smoothly deliver what provides the most benefit for our ability to prevent and combat criminal activity.

You will be part of a team that is implementing a very important change for the Police Authority – migrating to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 business system. The aim is to create better conditions for police operations through a more cohesive and efficient operational support. In addition to financial management, the new business system will streamline the authority's purchasing operations and inventory management of equipment.

Main responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with development teams and suppliers on the maintenance, improvement, and further development measures needed to manage the product lifecycle.
  • Act as a contact person for questions regarding, for example, development or incidents related to the products you are responsible for.
  • Configure in Dynamics 365 to customize system views and controls based on different roles and workflows.
  • Support the operations by analyzing requirements and discussing solutions.
  • Plan how the rollout of new capabilities in the IT systems should be done in the best way.
  • Support the operations in acceptance testing and conduct system tests to ensure deliveries.
  • Maintain and manage the Microsoft Dynamics 365 business system.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • Relevant academic education in system development, requirements management, or equivalent acquired experience that the Police Authority deems equivalent.
  • Work experience in deployments, configuration, and implementing changes and updates to IT systems recently, which the Police Authority considers relevant for the position.
  • Practical experience in testing work recently.
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.

The position requires Swedish citizenship.

We consider it an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience working with Dynamics 365 F&O or Supply Chain.
  • Experience in conducting, coordinating, and structuring IT projects/assignments/solutions from a lifecycle perspective recently.
  • Experience working as an application specialist or technical specialist.
  • Experience working in Jira / Azure DevOps.
  • Experience working with business systems.
  • Good ability to document technical.
  • Experience working in classified operations.

The following competencies are also meritorious; you do not need to have expertise in all, as you will be able to develop on-site with us.
