As a security guard at Avarn Security, you have a vital societal mission to protect and monitor security objects according to the Protection Act.

The task of a security guard is to monitor security objects and protect against sabotage, espionage, terrorist crimes, and serious robbery. A security guard has special powers to inspect vehicles, conduct body searches, seize items, refuse and detain individuals present at a security object. Security objects are operations that are important for society to function in peace, crisis, or war. Examples of security objects include a nuclear power plant, an airport, or a military facility.

Job Responsibilities:

As a security guard, you will work in many different environments with varied tasks. You will, among other things, ensure that no unauthorized persons have access to the security object, as well as stationary and patrolling surveillance.

Qualities We Are Looking For:

You want to work in a role that creates security and have a natural ability to combine service with a pronounced security mindset. You are meticulous and structured in your work approach as there may be some administrative tasks involved. We are looking for security-conscious and service-oriented employees with inner security, maturity, and a natural drive to help. Great emphasis is placed on communication and collaboration skills as this role involves a lot of contact with both customers, contractors, and visitors. Personal qualities are what determine the best fit for the assignment. We place great importance on your ability to work in a team, but we also expect you to independently identify problems and solve them. You have a positive attitude towards your work and the ability to spread positive energy in a team.

Our General Requirements for Applicants:

• Be of legal age before starting work and be without a criminal record*
• You must also have a high school education with approved grades in Swedish 1
• Good health and physical fitness
• Orderly finances and a B driver's license
• You must also be a Swedish citizen.

Meritorious:

• Guard training (Vu1 and Vu2)
• HAS training
• Civil security guard training (or military security guard training**, completed in 2020 or later)

What We Offer If You Are Accepted

• If needed, security guard training via BYA. If you have the right profile for Avarn and proceed in the process but do not hold the required training (Security Guard), we will cover your training! Security guard training (8 days) is conducted at BYA, the Security Industry's Professional and Work Environment Committee. Participation in this is a prerequisite for employment, including a passed security check and approved HAS training.

To be offered employment with us, it is a prerequisite that you participate and pass the required training, which will take place in the spring of 2026. In addition, you will also need an approved security check.

The employment is security classified, and we conduct a security check with a register control according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Therefore, you must be a Swedish citizen. Tests will also be applied for this position.

* All personnel at an authorized security company must be approved in terms of legality, civic reliability, and suitability. For the approving authority's assessment of a person's legality and civic reliability, information in the criminal record or suspicion register or that is processed by the Security Police under the law on the processing of personal data within the criminal data law area will be obtained.

** If you have completed security guard training during military basic training, it is also valid for civilian use. The training must have been completed in 2020 or later, and the training certificate must not be older than 5 years. If you have security guard training through the Armed Forces without military basic training, you need to complete a shortened security guard training to work as a civil security guard.
