As a regulatory officer, you will play a key role in Studsvik's operations, from applications for the construction of new nuclear facilities to ensuring that existing operations meet all regulatory requirements and are conducted safely. It is an exciting and varied position with a focus on compliance. You will also be responsible for export control in accordance with the requirements of SSMFS 2008:3.
Other job content may include the development of safety reports and other safety documentation. Permit matters, communication with authorities, and monitoring of compliance or optimization within radiation safety and security, among other things. You will also work on handling referrals of new laws and regulations.
You will be active within the Support Functions for Nuclear Operations department together with a group of specialized employees focusing on permit issues and regulatory reporting, primarily within radiation safety and the environment. You will work closely with the department head, safety manager, and Vice President, as many of the issues will also be of a strategic nature.
The position requires a security clearance and placement in a security class according to the Security Protection Act.
Who are you?
We are primarily looking for someone with previous experience in permit-related issues, preferably within nuclear operations or similar. You most likely have a relevant university degree in physics, chemistry, environmental science, or a similar engineering field.
Personal qualities to fit into the role with us include being communicative, solution-oriented, innovative, and analytical. You have a genuine interest in nuclear operations and safety.
