About the Role

Securitas is now seeking security guards for assignments to protect critical infrastructure for Sweden. This is a role for those who are not just looking for a job – but are ready to take on a task with great responsibility and real significance for our country's supply and security. It is about protecting what must function – around the clock, year-round.

The position requires you to be available for work between weeks 25-33. Securitas will assign you a schedule so you can plan your summer with both work and enjoyable activities in advance! As a security guard, you play a crucial role in maintaining security for operations that are important to Sweden. You work with extended powers, often in close collaboration with our clients.

The work is varied and may include both stationary and patrolling security, access control, or work in a monitoring center. You will need to make independent decisions in critical situations, have good endurance, and stable judgment. Therefore, we are looking for a person who has the ability to remain calm when others do not – and is loyal to Swedish interests.

You are a central part of the security work within a facility with high demands. You work to prevent and manage security threats such as sabotage, espionage, and terrorism. The role requires precision, responsibility, and the ability to act quickly in critical situations.

Security guard duties are conducted both indoors and outdoors, day and night. The length of shifts varies, but they are often scheduled in 12-hour shifts according to a rolling schedule. Since we work in an operation that is ongoing every day of the year, it is common to work every other weekend.

The position includes, among other things, that you:

• Patrol and monitor the facility to detect deviations and suspicious activities
• Perform checks according to applicable regulations and instructions

Requirements Specification

Requirements:

• Have approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• Class B driver's license

It is advantageous if you also have:

• Civil or military security guard training; if you have completed security guard training with the Armed Forces as part of the Armed Forces basic training (GMU), it can be validated for civilian use. The security guard training, as well as GMU, must have been completed in 2016 or later, and your certificate must not be older than five years at the time of application
• Previous experience in guarding critical infrastructure, other security work, or security services.
• HAS training, Handling of firearms.

Security Clearance

Please note that the position is classified and requires you to undergo a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements for approval according to current regulations, security interviews, background checks, and register checks will be conducted. The assessment aims to investigate compliance with the law, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities according to the Security Police's regulations and guidelines. Information collected may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment of you, your life situation, and financial conditions when evaluating your suitability.

For employment with Securitas Sweden AB, you must have approved grades from the first year of high school in Swedish and English and be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company (the application is made by Securitas).
