Temporary Occupational Therapist for Youth and Adult Rehabilitation

The Rehabilitation Center is a base unit consisting of children's and youth rehabilitation, youth and adult rehabilitation advice and support, as well as vision and hearing rehabilitation. The service provides advice and other personal support according to LSS and rehabilitation according to HSL to children, adolescents, and adults with permanent disabilities.

The Rehabilitation Center is a regional operation with about 170 employees located in Lycksele, Skellefteå, and Umeå. The mission of the operation is to contribute to good health and the best possible functional ability, as well as good conditions for an independent life and active participation in community life for the children, adolescents, and adults we meet.

We are now looking for a temporary occupational therapist for youth and adult rehabilitation who will work with adults with significant and/or permanent disabilities primarily in the form of autism and/or intellectual disabilities. We provide rehabilitation according to the Health and Medical Services Act. The team includes a social worker, psychologist, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an occupational therapist with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure.

You contribute your specific occupational therapy expertise to create participation in everyday life for the individuals you meet. You will work with mapping activity performance and interventions that facilitate daily activities. The aids prescribed in the operation are cognitive aids.

The work takes place partly in the individual's local environment and through consultative interventions. Planning is done with the individual and in collaboration with relatives/representatives based on needs and conditions. You are responsible for establishing care plans with and for users together with other employees. You participate in the planning and implementation of training and group activities for users/relatives and networks.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed occupational therapist and has good knowledge of significant and permanent disabilities and the consequences they may have in the individual's life. You have experience working with cognitive aids for individuals with disabilities.

You should also have the ability to collaborate and convey knowledge about the consequences that disabilities have in everyday life to the individual, family, and other networks. You have a good ability to work in a team as well as independently and possess good planning and organizational skills.

The position involves travel in Umeå and surrounding municipalities, which means you need to have a driver's license.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
