Assistant Nurse to the Ward at Lycksele Hospital

Lycksele Hospital is a suitably sized, well-equipped hospital. We maintain close cooperation with all clinics in the hospital. The proximity to each other provides a unique opportunity for development and strong community.

The Surgical Center of Southern Lapland is a clinic with broad operations and high competence. Within the clinic, there are wards, outpatient clinics, operating rooms, emergency departments, intensive care units, recovery units, and helicopter operations.

The ward has 21 beds on weekdays and 16 beds on weekends that need to be staffed around the clock. We have a wide variety of diagnosis groups in our surgical orthopedic department. We primarily conduct elective care in the form of hip, knee, and weight-loss surgery. The acute operations include abdominal observations and various types of trauma.

We are now looking for an assistant nurse for our ward.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an assistant nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel safe during their care time with us.

The workday consists largely of various nursing measures that are important for the patient's recovery. Therefore, as an assistant nurse, you have a central role with the patient and their relatives.

The work offers great variety in terms of content and pace. You work in a team, in close collaboration with other professional categories. Your work is very varied, and you will meet people with diseases and conditions in various surgical areas. Daily tasks include patient care, as well as specific tasks such as sampling, catheter insertion, drainage management, wound dressings, and more. QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained assistant nurse with an interest in surgical and orthopedic care. Experience working in a hospital ward or other emergency services is an advantage. We want you to be engaged and have a strong team spirit, see opportunities and solutions as you play an important role in our team. You must be able to prioritize between different tasks. The work requires good collaboration skills and high flexibility. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

This means you need to present a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or alternatively a service certificate that makes you subject to the National Board's transitional provisions and can use the title until June 30, 2033.
