ASSIGNMENT
The central child and student health in Trosa municipality is seeking a school psychologist who values student health issues and wants to help drive Trosa municipality's school development forward with the best interests of children in focus. Working with us means engaging in exciting and challenging work where you will help develop student health efforts at individual schools and in the municipality as a whole.
The primary tasks of the school psychologist are to promote mental health and prevent mental illness, among other things, by contributing to good learning environments, conveying psychological knowledge about, for example, learning strategies, stress, concentration difficulties, and depression. The health-promoting and preventive work is carried out at the organizational, group, and individual levels through, among other things, training, lectures, consultation, and supervision. The school psychologist also conducts assessments when there is a suspicion of intellectual disabilities. The work takes place both at local school units and centrally. You will collaborate with the existing psychologist within the organization.
You are a curious person who enjoys working where there are opportunities for influence and change. Your approach is focused on seeking strengths and resources while emphasizing the individual's potential for development in schoolwork, behavior, and interaction. We value your ability to work both independently and in collaboration with other professionals. We hope you are a person with a strong commitment to highlighting and profiling student health issues and initiating development work.
As a person, you are attentive, positive, and solution-oriented. A good attitude and empathy for people in difficult situations are a given for you, as is a good ability to collaborate. You are a licensed psychologist and have experience working as a psychologist, experience in conversations with parents and children in need of special support, as well as experience and knowledge of staff consultation and/or supervision. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability as well as the ability to build trusting relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
