We are looking for you who, with interest and curiosity about forensic psychiatric care, want to start a long-term employee journey at our hospital. You may be looking for your first job after high school, or you may have been in a completely different industry for a while and long for a rewarding job where you have the chance to make a real impact.

So, who are you we are looking for?

We are looking for you who see a future career at the hospital and who see a summer job as a possible gateway to a long-term employee journey. We believe in your potential and that with the right personal qualities, introduction, and conditions, you can learn what is required to work with us during the summer. Your approach, your commitment, and your personal suitability are therefore the most important to us.

In the care department, you can work as a caregiver or healthcare assistant depending on your educational background. In both roles, you play a central role in the care. You are part of the patients' everyday lives where the large and small moments in your care, your commitment, and approach have a significant impact on whether we achieve the set goals. You need to be a secure and stable person with great self-awareness and personal maturity. It is important that you can meet people based on where they are in life and are attentive, calm, and respectful in your approach. You are a good listener and have the ability to work from a low-affect approach. You see the value in a learning culture and can share uncertainties, mistakes, and successes with colleagues in a respectful manner to create learning and psychological safety. You are part of a dedicated care team of caregivers, doctors, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, activity supporters, nurses, and more. We therefore place great importance on your ability to collaborate.

Competence Requirements

To work with us during the summer, it is a requirement that you have a high school diploma or ongoing high school education, and/or work experience that the employer deems relevant. Since the work largely involves communication and documentation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Due to the scheduling of work hours, you must also be 18 years or older. Holding a B driver's license is desirable as the work may involve traveling with patients.

We place great importance on personal qualities and suitability.

Your Tasks

Your assignment includes supporting and participating in various daily routines regarding patient care and contributing to the quality and safety work of the organization. Your main task is to function as a supportive function in the team you work with. Your tasks include, among other things, gathering and conveying information about perceived health conditions, supporting and motivating the patient, and documenting performed care interventions in the journal. You will receive thorough training on the ward as well as three full days of introduction in our training facility on the hospital grounds. During these days, you will gain the fundamental knowledge you need from various professions to do a good job in the care department and thrive in your role.

Your Future Employee Journey

If we enjoy working together, we would love for you to continue working extra with us as a substitute and eventually train in the formal healthcare education required for your dream job. To obtain a permanent position in the care department, formal healthcare education is required, and as an employer, we are happy to help you find the right paths forward; we have a good collaboration with Komvux and other adult education programs. We have several success stories of colleagues who started their employee journey at the hospital through summer jobs.
