Physiotherapist Wanted in Nyköping Municipality

Are you an engaged physiotherapist with a focus on patient needs and a desire to develop in your work? Join us in creating the best possible quality of life for our patients!

With us, the future of municipal health and medical care is emerging, and together we create the best conditions. Here, district nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists work together. We are responsible for medical care and rehabilitation for the municipality's residents, with the main task of providing care and treatment to those who need support and cannot reach their health center. We are in an exciting phase and in the midst of a transition towards Close Care. The most important thing for us in our daily work is to always put the patient and their needs at the center.

Within the workgroup, there is close collaboration and a community where all questions are welcome. We offer a workplace where you, together with your colleagues, can help develop methods to create the best possible municipal healthcare based on patient needs and resources.

In 2026, we will implement an initiative to increase staffing of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists within short-term care services. The need for short-term placements has increased in recent years, and we need to meet this demand to offer appropriate measures and rehabilitative efforts. Currently, we have a very well-functioning team working within short-term care services in Nyköping Municipality. They look forward to expanding their team with an additional Physiotherapist and an Occupational Therapist, thereby positively developing the operations moving forward.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a physiotherapist in municipal health and medical care, you will assess, investigate, and evaluate function based on the individual's capabilities, goals, and current health status. The physiotherapeutic measures consist of function-preserving and rehabilitative efforts, including the prescription and trial of assistive devices. Prescription and guidance of nursing staff in rehabilitative practices constitute an important part of the work, including transfer training.

Your work and efforts should contribute to patients maintaining and developing the best possible activity and functional ability, regardless of living situation. As a physiotherapist, you have great opportunities for teamwork with occupational therapists, nurses, and other healthcare and social care staff. Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists work in pairs within their respective areas of responsibility. Collaboration is an important part of promoting professional development and obtaining a holistic view of care and rehabilitation.

  • a license as a physiotherapist.
  • a valid driver's license and good driving experience with a passenger car.
