Recruitment of Care Assistants for Home Care in Mariestad Municipality

Home care is part of the elderly and care administration in Mariestad Municipality. We are now taking a new approach and need to recruit care assistants for five of our nine areas, one of which pertains to rural settings.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The areas we are hiring for are:

• Home Care Area 1 (Nyestan, Grangärdet, Högelid)
• Home Care Area 3 (Ekudden, Guldvingen)
• Home Care Area 4 (Centrum AB/CD, Humlet Area)
• Home Care Area 5 (Madlyckan, Strandgruppen)
• Home Care Area 6 (Torsö, Hasslerör, Lyrestad, Sjötorp)

There are a total of nine positions available, which are permanent full-time positions.

In your work, you will perform personal care such as dressing and undressing and assist with toilet and shower situations. You will carry out delegated healthcare tasks including medication distribution, venipuncture, and wound dressings. Other tasks include service interventions, daily chores, assistance during meal times, and social interaction. The job also involves close collaboration with planners, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and unit managers. The work is largely independent, but double staffing may occur.

We work with a fixed care contact and representative assignments where you as an employee have the opportunity to grow with responsibility while being part of the development of the organization.

We operate on a 7-week schedule with shifts during the day and evening, and you will also work three out of seven weekends. The schedule also includes resource shifts to cover for absences at other workplaces.

The positions we are filling have immediate access according to agreement, and we will therefore handle this recruitment continuously.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this position, we are looking for you who are a trained care assistant and preferably have work experience in elderly care.

As a person, you are responsive, positive, and confident in individual meetings with clients and have a good ability to work independently with caring tasks. Your inspiring and positive attitude contributes to a good community and joy among both residents and your colleagues.

For us, it is very important that you are flexible since the work is based on close collaboration with your colleagues where you are expected to step in and assist as needed in all groups within your home care area, even in other areas through resource shifts.

We would also like you to have experience in meeting individuals with mental health issues. You are expected to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as many of your tasks involve receiving instructions and conveying information correctly and clearly. You should also have digital maturity in computer and mobile use since we use these as working tools.

A driver's license is necessary for most of the positions we are now filling.
