Kommunrehab in Vänersborg is a unit that conducts rehabilitation and habilitation within the municipal primary care responsibility.

We have about 26 occupational therapists and physiotherapists, one rehab assistant, and one administrator working in a stimulating work environment with strong community and good collaboration.

Job Responsibilities

As an occupational therapist in municipal operations, you work to support individuals' independence and participation in everyday life. The work is varied and takes place in close collaboration with the individual, relatives, and other professionals.

Your main job responsibilities include:

• Assessing activity ability and needs for interventions in ordinary housing and special housing
• Planning, implementing, and following up on occupational therapy interventions according to applicable legislation
• Prescribing, testing, and following up on assistive devices and making housing adjustments
• Guiding and instructing care staff in working methods, assistive devices, and ergonomics
• Working with rehabilitative and preventive measures to promote independence
• Documenting according to applicable routines and journal systems
• Participating in interdisciplinary collaboration with, for example, physiotherapists, nurses, and case managers
• Contributing to care planning and coordinated individual plans (SIP)

The work is characterized by a person-centered approach and a high degree of personal responsibility, where you have the opportunity to plan and structure your work independently.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist and have a genuine interest in working with elderly people and people with disabilities. You have experience from similar operations, which is a requirement, and it is an advantage if you have worked in municipal operations.

You have a positive and respectful view of people and work with a person-centered approach, where the individual's needs, participation, and independence are in focus. You are independent, structured, and flexible, with a good ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently, even when the work pace is high at times.

We prefer that you have a development-oriented working method and experience in contributing to or driving improvement and development work in the organization. You enjoy collaborating in interdisciplinary teams and actively contribute to a good work climate.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Conditions

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.
