JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to work in care and support while having a flexible job within a pool operation?

We welcome you who are interested in social work. The Staffing Service within the Social Services of Kalmar Municipality is now looking for new employees for our team. The Staffing Service works to provide substitutes within all of the department's operations. We work within disability services, children’s activities, and social psychiatry when they need support or in case of absence.

As a support assistant, you will support and develop individuals towards a well-functioning everyday life through a pedagogical approach. The work is based on the operational goals and is physically active. Your workdays will never look the same, and you will have the opportunity to make a difference in people's lives. Working hours are day/evening/night and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with education equivalent to a nursing assistant or the child and leisure program, or higher education that we assess as relevant within social work, pedagogy, or behavioral science. Knowledge about autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and mental disabilities, alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), clear pedagogical approaches, and low-arousal responses is an advantage.

You obviously have a strong interest in working with people and find it easy to collaborate both within your own workgroup and with other actors. You also need to have good skills in the Swedish language to communicate and document.

We would prefer that you have a driver's license. Ongoing selection, positions may be filled before the application deadline.

In this recruitment, we will apply a probationary employment of 6 months.
