Job Responsibilities
As a social worker/assistance officer, you have an important job, where you create value for people in your surroundings every day. Do you have a pronounced sense of responsibility and focus on individuals' needs? Then you might be the one we are looking for.
The unit is part of the main unit for care and social services and belongs to the Individual and Family Care (IFO) operations.
We are looking for two social workers/assistance officers, one position is a permanent employment and one is a temporary position for 3 months.
As a social worker/assistance officer, you work from a holistic perspective and meet the user with the aim of strengthening their own ability and continued independence. Your main tasks are to investigate and assess needs, follow up on the services you grant, and ensure that the service meets the individual's needs regarding, among other things, home care, day activities, respite care, short-term stays, and special housing primarily for elderly people.
You handle cases according to applicable legislation (Social Services Act), current legal situations, and established guidelines. We work with continuous case supervision in groups. Case handling and documentation are done in the Life Care system. We base our assessments on the IBIC model to describe, assess, and follow up on individual needs.
Your tasks also include participating in network meetings, writing statements, being responsible for phone hours, and actively participating in ongoing development work. The work requires a legally secure handling where you as a case officer must ensure that the applicant is involved and can express their views. You have close cooperation with the individual, relatives, providers, colleagues, and other professionals and authorities. The work is focused on quality and legal security with the user in focus.
We offer you support structures in the form of introductory programs, mentorship, unit meetings, collegial supervision, external supervision, basic and targeted training initiatives, as well as wellness hours/wellness grants.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent education. Previous experience in social services is considered meritorious.
You have an interest in working with people in different stages of life. You are independent, have good collaboration skills, are responsible, and have the ability to create trusting meetings.
As a person, you are used to taking responsibility for your workday, planning and completing your tasks in a legally secure and efficient manner. Your tasks require you to be flexible, see opportunities in changes, and be meticulous. You can express yourself clearly and well in both speech and writing.
The social services in Sollefteå strive to work systemically, and you should have the ability to see and work based on people's own strengths and resources.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
A driving license (B) is a requirement.
