Sannarpsgymnasiet is Halmstad's largest sports high school with National Sports Programs in various sports. Kristinehedsgymnasiet, which offers vehicle and transport programs, is also part of Sannarpsgymnasiet. Our programs contribute to creating a sustainable study environment with a focus on studies and health.

Your Responsibilities

The position is a combined role with varied tasks. You will work according to a weekly schedule with clear assignments and expectations based on the professional roles.

As a pedagogical assistant, you will follow an individual student throughout their school day. Tasks may include personal support with hygiene, gathering school materials, assisting in structuring school assignments, and ensuring the school day runs smoothly. You are expected to have a low-affect and respectful approach with a focus on the student's participation and influence. You will collaborate with the student's home and with other professionals at the school.

As a school host, you will work together with other school hosts, social pedagogues, and other professionals to create safety, study peace, and community in the school environment. You are an important part of the school's mission with a focus on promoting, preventing, and addressing issues. You build relationships with students and create safety through everyday interactions.

Your role primarily involves creating security and comfort through activities during breaks and engaging with students throughout the school day. You meet students where they are in their daily lives and serve as an important link between the student and the school's other professionals to ensure that the school can work with students from a holistic perspective.

As a school host, you work based on the school's values and support young people in their development into adult individuals. The activities and engagement you can contribute as a school host become a cog in our collective effort to ensure our students have even better opportunities to succeed in their studies and develop into responsible and socially competent citizens.

Your Qualifications

As a person, you are calm, secure, and attentive to the needs of others. Since you will be in contact with many different people in your daily life, we see that you enjoy collaborating with others, including students, parents, and colleagues. At the same time, you need to have the ability to structure your work individually in the role of educational assistant and to organize your work in dialogue with your other colleagues in the role of school host.

You act according to our municipality's common values and are a role model for other employees. You encourage participation and creativity, show personal care by providing support and challenging in a good way, both for your closest colleagues and for the organization as a whole.

We are looking for someone who has experience working with youth in high school, where relationship-building is a central part of the role. You are fearless, accustomed to having challenging conversations. You possess high social competence and sensitivity. You are flexible and can act independently within given frameworks while maintaining close collegial cooperation.

You have a practically oriented vocational education in pedagogy, social work, or another education that the employer deems relevant. It is important that you have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

You have a good self-image and an unpretentious attitude, you have a sense of humor and spread positive energy, as well as the ability to work individually and in a team. If you have hobbies that can contribute to our youth's interests, that is a plus.
