Furulund School is looking for a teacher for the after-school program

Furulund School is an F-9 school with approximately 700 students in the eastern/central parts of Halmstad.

The school is located near the city center, public library, and various outdoor areas. At Furulund School, everyone takes a shared responsibility for the safety of the students and for ensuring that they reach their full potential in their development and learning. The after-school program is divided into three sections, one of which is aimed at older students in grades 3-5. The others focus on grades F-2.

We are now looking for a teacher for our after-school program with students in grades 3-5.

Your responsibilities

You will work both in the school and in the after-school program. In the afternoon, you will be part of our staff group in the grades 3-5 after-school program and provide instruction there.

Furulund School's organization is flexible to meet various needs that arise, and at our school, everyone shares the responsibility for the safety, learning, and development of the students. The student health team works closely with the work teams in these processes.

To thrive with us, you should have good collaboration skills, building positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. You are creative and see the problems you encounter during the day as a natural part of your mission. Your ability to meet students in need of support is demonstrated, among other things, by your low-arousal approach towards students who exhibit challenging behavior. You need to be able to work independently and be proactive in collaboration and planning of instruction.

Your qualifications

We are looking for a licensed teacher with qualifications to teach in the after-school program. Alternatively, you may have another pedagogical higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent and relevant for the assignment. We place great importance on your experiences and personal suitability.

If you are offered employment within the Child and Youth Administration, you are required to present a clean extract from the police criminal record for work in schools/preschools. The extract is free of charge and takes about 2-3 weeks for the police to process. Therefore, please order it in good time!
