We are now looking for a resource/student assistant for the middle school at Svarträven School in Övertorneå.

About you:

We are looking for someone with a pedagogical education or other qualifications that the employer deems suitable for the tasks. You should have good pedagogical skills and a positive attitude towards our students.

Previous experience working with children/students in school, as well as experience working with children/students in need of special support, is an advantage. If you lack competence in the latter, you should be open to further training and gaining experience through your work in the school. You are flexible, open, meticulous, and have good collaboration skills. We place great value on your commitment, responsibility, and professional competence, and we expect you to actively work towards each student's development.

To work with children in school, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record before employment. You must request this yourself from the police, and you can find the application form at www.polisen.se.

Övertorneå is the administrative municipality for Finnish and Meänkieli, so it is a plus if you can speak either of these languages.

Job Responsibilities:

You are expected to work as resource personnel in middle school. Based on needs, you will work with specific students and/or student groups who need support during the school day. Your tasks will also include being a playground supervisor and accompanying students during transitions.

Scope:

The position is for the spring term 2026 until June 12, 2026, full-time or part-time 75%. Start date is January 23 or by agreement.
