Are you passionate about sales, fluent in Finnish, and want to be part of our wonderful team on board?
We are looking for dedicated employees for Silja Symphony ahead of the summer season. On board, an exciting job awaits in shops within fashion, tax-free, and perfume/cosmetics. As shop staff, you will drive sales through active customer contact, showcase products, run campaigns, and participate in inventory.
We are looking for both employees who want to work with a fixed summer schedule, working about 8–10 days on board followed by an equal length of paid leave, and employees who want to work more flexibly, as substitutes/extra as needed. As a substitute, you will instead make yourself available in our personnel system based on your preferences and availability to then be booked for shifts based on the needs of the business.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent knowledge of Swedish and Finnish, as well as good knowledge of English.
- Has experience in sales and service, as well as cash handling.
- Is service-oriented, engaged, and positive.
- Is flexible and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
- Has a forklift license (meritorious).
For us, it is important that you value and want to work based on our guiding principles: joy, engagement, collaboration, and professionalism.
Whether you have worked at sea before or not, we offer a chance to grow and develop together with us. The first step on your journey will be a four-day onboarding on board to familiarize yourself with the work environment, the ship, and the team.
Once you start working on board, you will be part of the safety organization. Therefore, it is important that you have good physical fitness as well as good knowledge of Swedish, which is the safety language on board, and good knowledge of English. To work on board, citizenship in an EU/EES country, a valid medical certificate for seafarers, and a passport are also required. Background checks are conducted as part of the recruitment process, and alcohol and drug tests may occur according to our safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment on board.
Do you want to be our new colleague?
We warmly welcome your application today!
We offer extra and seasonal work during 2026, which may also lead to long-term substitutes. Selection, interviews, and onboarding periods take place continuously during the spring. Salary according to collective agreement.
