Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for someone who wants to help create safety and good conditions for development for the children and young people living at Billdals Björkväg!

Billdals Björkväg is an LSS residence with special support and services for children and young people.

Here, 4 children with autism and intellectual disabilities aged 14-21 live.

Your main task as a waking night support assistant will be to provide individual pedagogical support that contributes to predictability and safety in accordance with LSS. You will provide direct support to the youth during times of anxiety and wakefulness, as well as during morning routines before they leave for school.

Under the guidance of the unit manager and support educators, and together with colleagues and other people in the child's network, you will work to develop methods, routines, and structures for the work surrounding the residents to give each individual the best conditions for participation. We actively work with individual adaptations and use methods such as AAC (alternative and augmentative communication), low-arousal approach, and clear pedagogical methods.

You will work waking nights according to a schedule.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a support assistant education, Child and Youth Program with a focus on social work or educational work, or Health and Care Program with a specialization in disability. Alternatively, another education that the employer considers equivalent.

You will work in our operational system Treserva, so you need to have basic IT skills and the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You should also have previous experience working with clear pedagogical methods, LAB (low-arousal approach), and various forms of AAC (alternative and augmentative communication).

If you have experience working with individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities, we consider this an advantage.
