Our Offer

The health center is part of Region Östergötland's Primary Care Center along with 32 other region-run health centers. The health center is located in the countryside, 90 kilometers south of Linköping, and currently has about 3000 registered patients and 15 permanently employed staff members. The sister health center in Kisa, with 9,000 registered patients and 16 employed doctors, is located 30 kilometers away with a shared medical director who is a physician. Part of the work may, in consultation, be scheduled there, and there is a good collegial exchange. We have a development-inspired working method and conduct a broad primary care operation where we meet patients of all ages with many different symptoms. The health center has a medical clinic, specialist nurse clinics, nursing clinics, child health care, psychosocial competence, rehabilitation coordinator, dietitian, foot care, and laboratory. We also work closely with paramedics at Movement and Health. We have a well-developed collaboration with Ydre municipality, and we are responsible for the municipality's nursing homes and short-term care. More experienced doctors also take on on-call duties. Region Östergötland's ST training in general medicine is organized by the General Medicine Education Center (AMC), where study directors and education secretaries coordinate side training, arrange courses and training, and participate in the design of the ST physician's training plan. Job Description

We are looking for a ST physician in general medicine for our medical clinic in Österbymo, which is currently staffed by two very experienced specialist physicians. We also welcome students and AT physicians. We offer you a challenging and varied job. We believe you are drawn to primary care because you are interested in the breadth of the specialty of general medicine and can envision a future in primary care. As a ST physician with us, you will receive regular supervision and, in addition to participating in ST meetings, have the opportunity to participate in training together with other junior doctors, AT physicians, and ST physicians at the health centers. We have very skilled specialist physicians who enjoy mentoring and will help and support you in developing both as a physician and as an individual. We can offer a broad patient clientele from a rural perspective that is both exciting, educational, and challenging.

About You

You are a licensed physician and hold a medical license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare, as well as Swedish language skills corresponding to documented level Swedish C1. You have completed AT or have approved Basic Competence according to BT. There is also the possibility of integrated BT.

You have good collaboration skills and can plan, organize, and prioritize your work. You have good judgment and communicate clearly. We want you to be unpretentious and enjoy working in a team. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
