Position as a Nurse in Psychiatric Home Care

Your Responsibilities

We are now looking for you who want to work as a nurse in our psychiatric home care.

The work is varied, where you plan and organize your day with the goal of working towards increased independence for our patients. Your tasks include both acute and planned interventions for patients in regular housing. The tasks include supportive and motivational conversations, medication management, medical assessments, sampling, and delegation to nursing staff.

You have overall responsibility for the patients, which includes both psychological and to some extent somatic assessments. Common issues include anxiety, depression, neuropsychiatric diagnoses, psychotic disorders, and some suicide assessments.

Your role includes convening and/or participating in coordinated individual planning (SIP), care planning, as well as initiating and facilitating doctor contacts. You will work closely with the region's specialist psychiatry and health centers.

Your Workplace

You belong to the health and medical care organization with nurses, nursing assistants, as well as physiotherapists and occupational therapists who perform health and medical care interventions within social psychiatry and LSS in Linköping Municipality. This includes social psychiatry's supported housing, psychiatric home care, group homes, and daily activities within LSS. Your placement is within psychiatric home care, but there may be some cross-group work as needed. Within psychiatric home care, you will work together with a nurse, a physiotherapist, an occupational therapist, and a nursing assistant.

We operate from our office at Hertig Karlsgatan 2, which is a short walk from the Travel Center.

Your working hours are daytime with flexible hours.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a licensed nurse, and we consider it an advantage if you have taken courses in areas such as psychiatry, motivational interviewing, and addiction. It is also advantageous if you are a trained specialist nurse in psychiatry.

For the position, you need to have previous experience working with psychiatry. You should have worked at least one year as a nurse or have longer experience with the target group. We would also like you to have experience in making certain somatic assessments. Experience in municipal health and medical care is also advantageous. We also consider it advantageous if you have previous experience working with addiction and using a low-arousal approach.

As the work involves documentation and contact with patients and relatives, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills. You should be able to cycle and need to have a B driver's license.

You also understand how individuals absorb knowledge and can therefore adapt how you convey information to achieve common goals.

You can plan, organize, and prioritize your work and easily adapt to changing circumstances. You make correct assessments and have the ability to weigh complex information and various considerations.
