Job Description

Within the municipal services, we care for patients with both somatic conditions, psychiatric diseases, and neuropsychiatry as well as intellectual disabilities. Therefore, we want to strengthen the team with a further educated psychiatric nurse or nurse with experience and specific knowledge in psychiatry.

With us, your main focus will be psychiatric home care (primary care level) and neuropsychiatry within LSS operations. You will also work with standard nursing tasks in other parts of home care. You will conduct individually planned home visits, where you, with your psychiatric expertise, will be seen as an important resource for health and medical care. Psychiatric home care includes patients who are in their habitual state where you will have supportive conversations, make assessments, and interventions in case of deterioration.

Your psychiatric expertise will be utilized in all areas of municipal health and medical care where you, with your specific competence, will guide and educate nursing staff and colleagues in meeting our patients suffering from mental illness, disease, or neuropsychiatry. You will also have close cooperation with the region's psychiatric care.

Since the work involves providing care in patients' homes, there are high demands on you to be independent and secure in your role. You will have opportunities to influence the design of the work and actively work to support and develop psychiatric care in the municipality.

Qualifications

You must be a further educated psychiatric nurse or nurse with experience in psychiatry. Experience in home care is an advantage.

Experience with the Lifecare journal system is an advantage.

A valid driver's license is a requirement for employment.

It is therefore an advantage if you are an open, cheerful person who enjoys working in a stimulating environment where the patient is always the focus. Since this position is based on communication, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
