Your role

We are looking for personal assistants for a woman with acquired brain injury starting in February. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We are looking for both permanent employees and on-call substitutes. The mission is to provide the best possible assistance so that the user can achieve a good quality of life and participation in society. The work as a personal assistant involves providing support in all situations of life. This can include providing support in the home and also out in the community.

Common tasks include:

  • Mobility via motorized wheelchair and lifts.
  • Dressing and undressing.
  • Changing incontinence pads.
  • Support with personal hygiene, showering, and toilet use.
  • Feeding.
  • Communicating with others (interpreting, handling the phone, etc.).
  • Support with medication via self-care.
  • Support with travel for medical appointments.
  • Training.
  • Shopping.
  • Household chores.
  • Position changes.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Calm and secure.
  • Responsive and empathetic.
  • Patient and punctual.
  • Good at collaboration (double assistance).

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Turned 18 years old.
  • Experience working within LSS or personal assistance.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Assistant nurse education or other training in health and care.
  • Experience and knowledge of acquired brain injury.
  • Experience with motorized wheelchairs.
  • Experience with lifts.
  • Interest in culture, music, and languages.

If hired, you will need to present a criminal record extract from the police. The extract must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.
