The emergency care area at USÖ is being further developed, and we are now looking for you who are a nurse or specialist nurse in emergency care/child care who wants to contribute to the future of emergency care together with us at the Emergency Department. We offer, after structured onboarding, a stimulating job in emergency care with regular internal training. The operations are characterized by great commitment, high pace, and close collaboration between different staff categories. As an employee, you are often at the center of events, and the work includes both joy and sorrow, illness and recovery, life and death. Operations are conducted around the clock and consist of reception for adults and children. Patients with care needs in trauma, medicine, surgery, pediatrics, orthopedics, infection, ear-nose-throat, neurology, and urology come to the emergency department. The emergency care area is one of the largest at Örebro University Hospital, with 180 employees and approximately 74,000 patient visits per year with a varied patient flow, including pediatrics. There is an active group of specialist nurses in emergency care and a plan for further training of more. Together with you, we want to create the best possible emergency care. Typical tasks in an emergency department, e.g., assessing, prioritizing, and sorting patients, nursing and patient work, medication management, and contacts with relatives, etc. The team consists of doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants. We are keen to ensure that you get a good start in your work with us, and therefore the onboarding is carried out step by step, meaning that you will be trained in the adult emergency department and the pediatric emergency department in two separate blocks. After onboarding and training at the workplace, the internal career ladder/competence ladder of the emergency department takes over. The competence ladder is divided into several different levels to allow you to develop in your work as a nurse. Competence development and further education occur continuously. The educationally responsible nurse, together with the quality-responsible nursing assistant, works on planning and developing internal training.

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with experience in emergency care or at least one year of experience in inpatient care. Specialist training in emergency care/child care is an advantage. To thrive with us, you need to be comfortable working in a dynamic environment. As a person, you enjoy working at a high pace in collaboration with other professions and with the patient in focus. You who apply have a strong desire to develop, good communication skills, enjoy and find it easy to collaborate. You should provide a safe and professional approach to both patients, relatives, and colleagues. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities and previous experiences.
