About the assignment:

A 13-year-old boy who needs encouragement to go out for an activity one weekend a month. Besides his iPad, he enjoys playing with water, swimming, and taking the bus or subway. He does not have a direct language, can say some words, and has some visual support, but he understands what is being said. He does not have a sense of consequences and is quick, so when out, supervision is necessary. He can also be outwardly aggressive, so you should approach him with a low-arousal response. The family prefers a younger male who can take him to the swimming pool.

Your qualifications:

You should have experience with severe intellectual disabilities (ID) and autism, as well as knowledge of low-arousal responses.

About the position:

4 hours/month. Start as soon as possible.

As an escort, you accompany a client with a disability on various activities. This may involve shopping, visiting a museum, or perhaps having a coffee. As a respite caregiver, you relieve relatives of, for example, a child with a disability at home or in the local area. This may be to give parents some personal time with other siblings.

According to the law on background checks and God Omsorg's policy, anyone working with minors must present a certificate from the police's criminal record and suspicion register before employment.
