About Me:

I am a 26-year-old guy who recently moved out to my own apartment in Upplands-Bro and am now looking for a personal assistant who also has leadership responsibilities.

About You:

For us to thrive together, I see that you are a secure, responsible, and reliable person with a twinkle in your eye. You enjoy juggling many tasks and have an eye for detail. Sometimes you will need to help me make good decisions, so it is important that you are both wise and attentive.

I have a great interest in music and film, enjoy going to concerts, and like activities such as disco, bowling, and sing-alongs at Skansen. If you are also adventurous and enjoy coming up with fun activities - perfect!

Leadership Assistant:

In this role as a personal assistant, there is an extended assignment as a leader (personal coordinator) in the assistance. This means that you, in close consultation with the assistance user (or legal representative), design the assistance user’s personal assistance according to the intentions of the LSS regarding self-determination, freedom of choice, and personal integrity.

In addition to leading other assistants accordingly, you ensure that the work environment is safe and secure, you are responsible for scheduling, participate in the recruitment of new assistants, and document, etc. You will have a close and continuous collaboration with the team leader at the office who is your immediate supervisor. You will receive extensive training, support, and coaching to manage your key position. This assignment is compensated.

Staffing:

This position includes an extended (and compensated) staffing assignment, which means that some weeks you must be available at times other than working hours, to call in a substitute or step in and assist when intervention is required. This is Assistans i Balans's way of ensuring that our clients always have a familiar assistant by their side. The assignment is shared by all assistants working according to a regular schedule.

The Position:

When I move out, we will together create functioning routines for everyday life. I need help with most aspects of my life - from household chores and cooking to going out for activities. It is therefore important that you view the assignment long-term. To build a safe and stable relationship, I would like you to be able to work with me for at least two years.

You Will Receive:

  • A thorough introduction
  • Continuous guidance
  • Further training
  • Compensation for staffing responsibility
  • Be part of a wonderful team via Assistans i Balans

I am now looking for two people who want to join my schedule, one of whom will be the team leader. The positions are 60-65% and include varied working hours, days, evenings, and weekends. To be employed, you must present valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden.

About Assistans i Balans:

Assistans i Balans organizes - with long and personal experience - high-quality personal assistance for people with extensive disabilities in accordance with the LSS and Independent Living movement. We want to contribute to a more equal world where everyone, regardless of disability, is given the opportunity to live an independent life with self-determination and self-respect in focus. Our service is close, personal, and continuous, and our level of ambition is high. All employees receive thorough introductions, ongoing training, participate in our value work, wellness benefits, and security through collective agreements (Fremia - Kommunal).
