I am a 23-year-old happy and positive girl with severe autism and epilepsy, and I am non-verbal, which means I do not communicate verbally. Instead, I interact in other ways, through signs and gestures, but mainly I write things on my iPad. In many ways, I have the same interests as other young women and would love to go for coffee or dine out and have girl talk. Some of the things I enjoy are dancing and swimming, listening to music, and going boating. I am also intellectually curious and would love to visit museums, read (for example, history), and play games with my assistants.

Even though I am very smart, there are some things I struggle to manage on my own in daily life due to my autism. For example, I need help with showering and personal hygiene, household chores, and navigation.

You who are applying are a fun and lovely girl, perhaps around my age? I enjoy doing a lot of fun things with my assistants, but I am not always good at coming up with ideas myself. Therefore, it is good if you, as my assistant, are inventive and proactive, without taking control over me. It is important that my assistants are open to alternative forms of communication and have the patience to understand how to communicate with me, which requires familiarity and trust. It is a plus if you have experience with neurodevelopmental disorders and autism, but it is not a requirement.

Scope: Hourly employment with shifts in the evenings and weekends. Shift times are on weekdays from 15:10-19:10 and some evenings until 21:00, and the times for shifts every other weekend vary.

Start date: As agreed.
