Group Leader for Hermes Daily Activities

At the Daily Activities in Sundbyberg, services are offered to adults with intellectual disabilities, psychiatric or neuropsychiatric disabilities according to LSS or SoL. The operation currently consists of several units with different focuses.

Hermes - We are now looking for a Group Leader for Hermes Daily Activities, which is a work-oriented daily activity located in the City Hall in Hallonbergen. Users come to Hermes who want to work with service for employees and operations in the City Hall and throughout the City. Part of this may include mail and package handling as well as several other tasks that exist in and around the City Hall. One of the assignments is, for example, a janitorial service offered to other operations in the city.

As a group leader, you will work in consultation with the unit manager to develop the unit's operational planning, implementation, and documentation. This requires a good ability to work towards set goals.

Your role also includes maintaining and developing cooperation with other units and actors, both internally and externally. The group leader is a link between the unit manager and the workgroup, so you should strive for a good work environment and provide advice and support to the staff. Together with the unit manager, you as a group leader will be involved in staff planning and recruitment of substitutes. As a group leader, you will also have support from group leader colleagues in other parts of the daily activities.

Certain administrative tasks such as invoicing are included in the position, and in addition to the tasks included in the group leader assignment, most of your working hours will be spent in the regular work with participants where you will be responsible for providing them with a meaningful day filled with activities based on their own wishes. Your other tasks also include documenting the interventions and establishing and working from the individual implementation plan.

You who apply should have a high school education with a focus on psychiatry or disabilities or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

You who apply should have personal suitability for the work and experience of leadership work as described above, as well as experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, psychiatric or neuropsychiatric disabilities within daily activities.

You work based on a low-arousal approach and have knowledge of clear pedagogical methods and MI. You are attentive, have good pedagogical skills, and a good ability to see participants' needs and strengths. You adapt your approach, information, and activities accordingly. You are secure and stable, independent, and have personal maturity.

You should also have a good ability to communicate both orally and in writing in Swedish. We require that you have good knowledge and practical experience in creating implementation plans, working according to IBIC, and documenting in social journals. You must have good computer skills and be quick to learn new programs, which is necessary to perform the work in the operation, including mail and package handling. Multilingualism is seen as an advantage.
