Neurological Clinic is Hiring Nursing Assistant

The Neurological Clinic is a highly specialized clinic with regional responsibility for the entire Southeast healthcare region.

The clinic includes a department with an acute neurological unit, a stroke unit, a highly specialized diagnostic unit, and a monitoring unit. Furthermore, there are 2 outpatient clinics at the university hospital US and Vrinnevisjukhuset ViN, as well as a neuromuscular laboratory. The clinic has approximately 150 employees. The outpatient clinics have extensive operations in all neurological diagnostic areas.

Job Description

In department B181, highly specialized care is provided in areas such as stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson's, Guillain-Barré, and MS. You will work with both acute care and palliative care and rehabilitation. Patients often have significant care needs, and helping them with this is one of the most important tasks as a nursing assistant with us, as well as performing checks and sample collection. After internal training, there is also the opportunity to work in our monitoring room.

Work Group

Teamwork is an important part of patient-centered care. With us, nursing assistants, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, social workers, and dietitians work together.

About You

You as an applicant should have a nursing assistant degree with a focus on acute care. Applicants without this will not be processed further in the recruitment process. We see that you are interested in and/or have experience in neurology. Work experience in inpatient care or more advanced home care or nursing home care is an advantage. As you will communicate with patients, relatives, and colleagues, it is important that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Utilizes knowledge, skills, and abilities in interactions during patient meetings or care situations. As you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

As a person, you take responsibility for ensuring that your tasks are completed. As our patients' conditions can deteriorate rapidly, it is important that you can work in a structured manner but also quickly prioritize your efforts with patient safety in focus. You can work independently but have good teamwork skills as you are part of a multidisciplinary team. You contribute through a positive attitude to a good work environment, improvement work, and recognize the importance of good communication at all levels.

The introduction to your employment is tailored to the individual, and you will receive support from a mentor during your first year. We have a preferred schedule and use the scheduling tool Tessa. The schedule includes at least 2 out of 5 weekends.
