Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. JOB DESCRIPTION

Kriminalvården provides some open health and medical care, which means that all prisons and detention centers have medical clinics where inmates can seek care. In addition to nurses, there are general practitioners, physiotherapists, and psychologists at the clinics. We are now looking for four licensed nurses who can work as summer substitutes throughout the summer period from week 25 to week 32.

As a nurse, you will have your own clinic for assessing minor ailments, and you will also determine which applicants need to see a doctor or another professional. This means you will work with both somatic and psychiatric health care for the inmates, assist during medical consultations, and administer medications primarily through dosage dispensing and dose division. Documentation currently takes place in the PMO patient data journal.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and self-aware. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have well-founded and clear values. In stressful situations, you remain calm, stable, and controlled. You have a high degree of integrity and the ability to make correct assessments and priorities. You are quality-conscious and meticulous, and you have the ability to structure your approach and drive your processes forward.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed nurse.
• Has at least two years of professional experience.
• Has good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

It is an advantage if you have:

• A relevant specialization or further education for the employer, such as in psychiatry, emergency care, or outpatient care.
• A driving license (B).
• Other language skills besides Swedish and English.
