The student health services include several professional groups that collaborate to provide support to students in school and to support their development, learning, and health. The central student support encompasses medical, psychological, and special educational competencies.

As a school nurse within the EMI Student Health Services in Finspång Municipality, you are part of the Central Student Support together with school doctors, special educators, and school psychologists, while your workplace is at one or more of our schools.

Your future tasks

In your role as a school nurse, you have a central role in health-promoting and preventive work, with the main goal of promoting physical and mental health from the individual student's perspective. Your medical competence creates the best possible conditions for the student's health, development, and learning. The assignment includes standard school nurse tasks such as health visits, vaccinations, health checks, consultations, and minor medical interventions. You work according to national guidelines based on an internal management system, and documentation is done digitally.

Student health involves teamwork that starts in the classroom together with the student, educators, and other professionals. You are part of the school's Student Health Team, which is an arena for collaboration and an important tool to support the student's development towards the educational goals together.

Working together with other school nurses and professionals within Central Student Support to develop an equitable Student Health that promotes the health and learning of all students in Finspång Municipality.

Who are you?

• You are a licensed nurse.
• You have further education as a district nurse, school nurse, or pediatric nurse.
• You have a strong interest in children's and youth health issues.
• You have experience in vaccination.
• You appreciate collaborating with different professionals and external partners.
• You are positive and solution-focused.
• You are independent, take initiative, and are responsible.
• You are flexible in your approach and show empathy.
• You understand different conditions and backgrounds.
• You have a B driver's license.
• Previous experience in Student Health is an advantage.
