About the Organization

The Social and Labor Market Administration, responsible for the care of the elderly and people with disabilities, is now looking for summer temporary workers who want to strengthen our teams. This will primarily involve work during the summer period, but work may also be available earlier based on the needs of the organization and your own interest.

As a nursing assistant/care assistant in elderly care, you will work to help individuals with personal hygiene, dressing/undressing, heating food, household chores, shopping, medication, and social interaction. The work is based on individual needs, and your role is important for ensuring that users have a good and secure living environment. In elderly care, you can work in residential care or in home care, where you visit individuals in their own homes. Night work may be relevant for some positions.

As a personal assistant or support assistant/support worker in the field of disabilities, your task is to create a meaningful, understandable, and manageable everyday life for the individual. The work includes personal care, educational development work, practical tasks, and leisure activities. As a personal assistant, you support individuals in their own homes, while as a support assistant/support worker, you work in a group home.

The work includes delegated health and medical care tasks.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Turned 18 years old before starting employment
• The ability to be understood in Swedish so that you can communicate with users, relatives, and staff
• The ability to express yourself well in writing in Swedish, as documentation and implementation plans are an important part of the work
• A driver's license (B) is required for some positions
• Bicycle experience, as this is required for work in home care
• Work experience in care and support, as this is required for potential night work.

Meritorious

• Care education or Child and Leisure Education.
• Previous experience in care and support work.

Furthermore, you need to have a good approach and good collaboration skills with care recipients, relatives, colleagues, and teams. It is important that you are flexible, as the work and its conditions can change rapidly. You also need to be flexible to work days, evenings, weekends, and in specific cases, nights. It is important that you can get to work during these times.
