The area of operation encompasses the Southern Healthcare Region with 1.8 million inhabitants. Trauma constitutes a large and important part of the clinical activities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a senior physician for the Hand Surgery Unit in Malmö. In your role, you will work with common tasks as a senior physician focusing on both patient-centered clinical work and research and development activities. Your work will focus on nerve injuries, plexus conditions, patients linked to habilitation, children, as well as highly specialized trauma and preferred areas by agreement.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who apply are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare and have:

• specialist competence in hand surgery
• language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale
• completed or planned course in clinical supervision
• full-time service of at least five years (documented effective time)
• documented on-call competence at an accredited hand surgical trauma center
• clinical skill and independence in highly specialized conditions affecting the arm's nerves including spasticity and pediatric rehabilitation
• documented teaching and supervision merits
• disputation, preferably within hand surgery

Disputation and/or specialist examination can be credited for a total of six months of clinical service. It is advantageous if you have the ability to integrate clinical development work into your service. We also value if you conduct active research and have an open attitude with a willingness to collaborate. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

At a university hospital unit, it is required that physicians have pedagogical experience and education. You may have acquired this through supervision of, for example, nursing and medical students as well as physicians in training and as a co- or main supervisor of doctoral students. Clearly describe in your application completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience of supervision, and teaching at different levels.
