About the Position

As a nurse with us at Västerpark, you will be part of a team that includes nurses, occupational therapists, care staff, and unit managers. In the evenings and on weekends, you will also collaborate with other care and support homes, giving you a larger network of nursing colleagues. At Västerpark, we focus on somatic care and cognitive impairment, and as the responsible caregiver for some of our tenants, you will have close contact with primary care physicians. We work to create safety and a meaningful everyday life for our tenants.

Examples of Job Responsibilities:

  • decide, implement, and follow up on care measures
  • guide and instruct care staff in health and medical tasks
  • be responsible for clinical assessments and the execution of medical interventions
  • maintain contact and provide support to relatives
  • document in our operational systems to ensure safe care for our patients
  • develop working methods and approaches within our operations together with the rest of the team

About the Workplace

Västerpark is a care and support home that opened on September 1, 2022. Västerpark has 80 rental apartments spread over four floors, three of which focus on cognitive impairment and one on somatic care. The residence is centrally located in Väster, about two km from Örebro central station.

As a nurse at Västerpark, you will be part of the Health and Medical Care Organization (HS), where we gather all nurses and occupational therapists within the municipality's care and support homes under one organization. This way, we can create better conditions, equitable care, and safeguard Örebro municipality's health and medical resources. For you as a nurse, this also means that you will have a manager who is a licensed professional and is therefore well-versed in the issues you face in your work.

Qualifications

As a nurse, you are confident in yourself and have good self-awareness. You take responsibility for your tasks in an independent and structured manner and enjoy having your own areas of responsibility. Being attentive and accommodating in your interactions, both with colleagues and tenants, is a given for you. You communicate clearly and have the ability to ensure that information gets through. Additionally, you easily adapt to changing circumstances, prioritize your work, and see opportunities in changes. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with tenants and other staff, as well as document what the operations require. Since the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • licensed nurse
  • driver's license (for manual transmission)

Meritorious:

  • experience as a nurse within municipal health and medical care
  • further education in geriatrics or district nursing
  • experience with MCSS, NPÖ, Pascal, Lifecare HSL, Senior Alert, BPSD register, and palliative register

Scope and Start Date

Employment type: permanent position

Employment rate: 100%

Start date: by agreement

Number of positions: 1

Working hours: day, evening, and one weekend every six weeks
