At orthopedic department 3, we specialize in prosthetic operations and complications in the operated area. We receive patients who need surgery in the hip or knee joint followed by osteoarthritis, as well as patients who have experienced some form of complication within our specialty area. This may include infections, periprosthetic fractures, or dislocations.

The department mainly consists of experienced nurses, which means there is a secure workgroup that will take good care of you. We focus heavily on collegial support and apply mentorship and individually tailored onboarding, which makes us believe that you will thrive with us, whether you are new to the profession or have previous experience. As a nurse in orthopedic department 3, you can look forward to a fun, stimulating, and constantly developing job with both elective (planned) care and somewhat more acute care for our complication patients. You will be the team leader and responsible for care in your team, working closely with various professionals such as nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, occupational therapists, dietitians, and doctors. With us, you will work with pre- and post-operative care, medication management, wound and infection control, mobilization and rehabilitation, acute care, as well as teamwork/coordinating and quality and improvement work. Guiding students and interns is also part of the job.

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, whether you have worked for a while or are newly graduated. Experience from surgical and/or acute care is an advantage but not a requirement. We believe that you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have good communication skills, master good Swedish in speech and writing, and have a positive attitude, the ability to work flexibly, and great commitment! Personal qualities are highly valued.
