We are now looking for a psychologist for a one-year temporary position in our multiprofessional team located in the northern part of the county in Nora.

The Child and Youth habilitation offers support and treatment to children and young people with disabilities as well as their families and networks. In the team, several different professional roles collaborate. We have social workers, speech therapists, psychologists, special educators, doctors, secretaries, unit managers, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. The Child and Youth habilitation is part of the Close Care Area.

Within the Close Care Area, there are about 2,400 employees across eleven different operational areas. Close care includes care that is common, frequently occurring, and geographically close to the patients. The area includes primary care services with health centers, health center emergency services, youth clinics, medical advice, asylum and immigrant health, the generally specialized care at the county's three hospitals, and geriatric clinics, as well as activities within habilitation and assistive devices. By expanding collaboration between health centers, specialized hospital care, and the county's municipalities, we create even better care - always with the patient's best interests in focus.

In this role, you will work with children and young people with disabilities aged 0-21 years and their families. You will work independently or together with other professionals. With us, you will have an interesting and developing job with varied tasks and a dynamic everyday life. The work includes conducting cognitive assessments and evaluations, providing individual treatment to children and young people, and offering parental support. The position also involves co-facilitating certain group activities with others. You will plan, assess, and implement interventions independently and together with other professionals in the team. If necessary, you will collaborate with partners around the individual child and family, such as preschools, schools, leisure activities, short-term accommodations, and more. You will be part of a group of psychologists at the Child and Youth habilitation consisting of 13 psychologists who receive regular external supervision and participate in joint methodological and professional development. When you are newly hired, you will have a mentor in your profession during the initial period and will be offered internal training within the organization.
