Do you want to make a difference for people with visual impairments? We are looking for an engaged occupational therapist who wants to work with habilitation and rehabilitation for adults with varying degrees of visual impairment. As an occupational therapist at the Syncentral, you will work with educational interventions, training, and teaching new strategies that facilitate daily life for our patients. Prescribing visual aids and providing information and support to relatives and care staff, as well as collaboration with other organizations, is included. We are a specialist organization that offers habilitation and rehabilitation for individuals with visual impairment, blindness, combined vision and hearing impairment, and deafblindness. We also provide support for individuals who need contact lenses for medical reasons. The Syncentral has been HBTQ-certified since 2019, which is part of our work for an inclusive and safe environment.

The Syncentral is a specialist organization that offers habilitation and rehabilitation for individuals with visual impairment, blindness, combined vision and hearing impairment, deafblindness, and individuals needing contact lenses for medical indications. Our combined expertise consists of optometrists, occupational therapists, social workers, hearing pedagogues, physiotherapists, and administrative staff. We have about 20 employees. Within the organization, we work in various teams that include social workers. We offer a challenging and developing job in a stimulating environment where quality and method development are prioritized areas. The work as a whole is carried out in close collaboration between the professionals at the Syncentral and with other actors in the vision and hearing field as well as optics. The Syncentral has been HBTQ-certified since 2019.

• Conduct both individual and group interventions focusing on function and independence.

• Licensed occupational therapist with professional experience.
• You are communicative and easily build good relationships. You work independently and in a structured manner, while being flexible when the situation requires it. With your commitment and positive attitude, you contribute to good collaboration and a pleasant work environment.
• Good theoretical and practical knowledge in occupational therapy.
• Genuine interest in new technology and the ability to keep up with developments.

Further education (e.g., master's) or training in the field of vision is meritorious. Knowledge or personal experience in the technology area is desirable. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.

A B driver's license is required as travel in the service is included.
