Are you interested in being part of the further development of psychiatric inpatient care? Then this is the place for you. General psychiatric inpatient care provides treatment for patients with the highest needs as well as short-term psychiatric care for patients requiring inpatient treatment. The operation consists of a psychiatric emergency reception and general psychiatric wards with inpatient services in Örebro, Karlskoga, and Lindesberg. We have about 150 employees from various professional categories working towards common processes and goals. We work in multiprofessional teams with a holistic view of the individual and strive to promote the involvement of relatives in care. Our patients may require both psychiatric and somatic care simultaneously.

The outpatient care in general psychiatry is part of the general psychiatry operational area. Our general psychiatric clinics are located in Hallsberg, Karlskoga, Lindesberg, and Örebro. Specialized clinics for, for example, electroconvulsive therapy, affective disorders, neuropsychiatric assessments, deaf psychiatry, and gender dysphoria are available in Örebro. We work with both individual and group therapy, as well as planned and emergency visits and telephone counseling. Rehabilitation is part of our work, as well as mobile interventions through our specialist psychiatric nursing teams (SPOT) and patient and relative education. Together, we work with common processes and goals. We work in multiprofessional teams with a holistic view of the individual and adapt our care interventions to the patient's needs and circumstances. We strive to promote the involvement of relatives in care.

Nurse Night for Psychiatric Emergency ReceptionJob ResponsibilitiesThe work consists of making an initial assessment of patients who seek psychiatric emergency care, triaging, leading/ coordinating the reception work, and together with the unit manager developing, implementing, and creating routines for patient and team work. Ensure that routines are followed and collaborate with care place coordinators, on-call doctors, other healthcare providers, and partners. Responsible for the introduction of new employees in the operation.
The job responsibilities also include nursing and patient work, medication management, and contacts with relatives in the ongoing reception work. QualificationsSpecialist nurse with a focus on psychiatry or a licensed nurse without a specialist nursing degree.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working closely with patients and has the patient's best interest in mind. You should be confident in yourself and in your role as a nurse. You are interested in working with both care and treatment interventions for patients with severe psychiatric symptoms in the acute phase, as well as working with the team to ensure good and safe care and treatment.
Work in the operation is based on great commitment, responsiveness, a positive attitude, and good collegial community, which requires collaboration skills and social competence. You have an ethical and professional approach in all meetings. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
