About the Position

As a nurse with us at Ängen Special Housing, you play a key role in creating a meaningful everyday life for our patients. You will have nursing responsibility, which includes guiding in nursing, health, and medical tasks.

Here are opportunities for you who want to work person-centered and focused on tenants with a focus on somatic and cognitive diseases. With us, we work based on trust with a great personal responsibility, and you work both independently and together with others to provide care and support with quality. You will work with a structured nursing process, where you assess and make decisions based on person-centered and risk-preventive care, set goals, actions, and follow up. In the evenings and weekends, we collaborate with other special housing, which allows for less work during uncomfortable hours.

We have a strong sense of community within the group, and there is collegial support in the nursing profession. The nursing group consists of experienced nurses led by a coordinating nurse.

Examples of Job Responsibilities:

  • plan, organize, and lead nursing work
  • assess needs based on the nursing process, set nursing diagnoses, establish goals, plan, implement, and follow up
  • be responsible for clinical assessment, perform medical interventions, and contact higher medical competence if necessary
  • guide and instruct nursing staff
  • ensure collaboration with other professionals, partners, and relatives
  • document in various quality registers and operational systems
  • participate in and drive continuous improvement and development of our operations

About the Workplace

Ängen Special Housing has 56 apartments distributed across four departments, two departments focused on somatics and two departments for people with cognitive impairment. Ängen is located in Ladugårdsängen, close to green areas and the city. In the same building, in addition to special housing, there is also a health center, memory clinic, day rehabilitation, senior housing, group housing, family center, and physiotherapy.

As a nurse at Ängen Special Housing, you will be part of the Health and Medical Care Organization (HS). All nurses and occupational therapists within the municipality's special housing work under one organization to create better conditions, equitable care, and protect Örebro Municipality's health and medical resources. For you as a nurse, this also means that you will have a manager who is fundamentally a registered nurse and is therefore well-informed about the issues you face in your work.

Qualifications

As a nurse, you are confident in yourself and have good self-awareness. You enjoy having your own areas of responsibility and take responsibility for your tasks in an independent and structured way. Being attentive and accommodating in your interactions, both with colleagues and tenants, is a given for you, and you are clear in your communication with the ability to ensure that information is conveyed. Additionally, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities and solutions in what you face.

Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with tenants and other staff, as well as document what the operation requires. Since the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • registered nurse

Meritorious:

  • experience working as a nurse in municipal operations
  • experience working with care for people with cognitive diseases
  • trained specialist nurse with a focus on elderly/geriatric care
  • experience working in operational systems and documentation systems such as Lifecare, Pascal, and Senior Alert
  • driver's license B

Scope and Start Date

Employment type: permanent position

Employment rate: 100%

Start date: by agreement

Number of positions: 1

Working hours: day, evening, and weekend (38.25 hours/week)
