Do you want to contribute your skills in psychiatric and somatic care while working hours that provide flexibility in your daily life? We are now looking for a licensed nurse for the Addiction Center's ward 4, focusing on evening and weekend shifts.

The specialist psychiatric ward 4 is a regional resource that offers assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for patients with addiction issues and psychotic disorders. Care is provided both according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) and the coercive care legislations LPT, LRV, LVU, and LVM. Patients come to the ward either via the psychiatric emergency department, through planning with social services, or as self-referrals via our detoxification unit (TNE), which is operated in collaboration with the municipalities in the region. The facility has admissions around the clock with an average length of stay of three to five days. We work in multidisciplinary teams consisting of nurses, caregivers, doctors, social workers, medical care administrators, and discharge coordinators. Teamwork is central, and the operation continuously develops with a focus on quality and patient safety.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse during evenings and weekends, you have an independent and responsible role. You are responsible for the psychiatric care of inpatients and lead the nursing work in collaboration with other staff.

The job responsibilities include, among others:

. Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.

. Medication management and sampling.

. Rounds with doctors as needed.

. Support conversations and motivational talks with patients.

. Collaboration with social services, police, other healthcare providers, and relatives.

During evenings and weekends, you contribute to maintaining safety and continuity for patients together with an engaged team. There are good opportunities to discuss working hours and find a solution that suits both you and the organization.

Additional Information

As we in Psychiatry care for our patients and value patient safety highly, we will request extracts from the suspicion and criminal records from the National Police Board during the recruitment process. Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Meriting is:

. specialist nurse education in psychiatry,

. experience working in addiction care, psychotic care, or neuropsychiatric care.

As a person, you are stable, responsible, and have good collaboration skills. You have a professional demeanor and enjoy working both independently and in a team. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
