About the Position
Tullhuset is a short-term care facility, and our goal is for patients to be able to return home after hospitalization. As an occupational therapist, you will play a vital role! You will be responsible for rehabilitation in one of our five departments. The work is varied and includes everything from ADL assessments, care planning, and home visits to motivational conversations and staff supervision.
Collaboration is important to us, so you will have close contact with other colleagues in the team. The team consists of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, physiotherapists, rehab assistants, and unit managers. You will work closely with nurses, physiotherapists, and your four occupational therapy colleagues. We work across boundaries, support each other, and cover for one another when needed. In your work, you will also collaborate with both USÖ and primary care in Örebro.
Examples of Job Responsibilities:
- assess activity ability, cognitive ability, and environmental factors
- be responsible for rehabilitation efforts based on each individual's needs
- assess needs, prescribe, and trial both simple and technologically advanced aids, e.g., cognitive, mobility, and care aids according to the prescription process
- ensure collaboration with other professionals, partners, and, if necessary, relatives based on individual needs
- participate in care planning, coordinated individual plans (SIP), and follow-up conversations
About the Workplace
At Tullhuset, we operate Örebro municipality's largest short-term care facility, which consists of four floors and a department at USÖ, department 40A. We have a total of 74 places, of which 12 are located at USÖ. Our entire operation is conducted in close cooperation with Region Örebro County and the geriatric clinic at USÖ, which provides medical staffing and physiotherapists/rehab assistants. We have resources for assessing ongoing care and support needs, enhanced resources for rehabilitation, and continuous access to doctors during weekdays, as well as primary care on weekends and evenings. Our operation is based on providing individuals with knowledge, good treatment, high participation, and continuity.

Qualifications
As an occupational therapist, you are confident in yourself and have good self-awareness. You enjoy having your own areas of responsibility and take responsibility for your tasks in an independent and structured manner. You will have a lot of contact with patients, relatives, and staff, which requires you to be clear in your communication and to have a good demeanor that builds trusting relationships. Additionally, you adapt easily to changing circumstances and see opportunities and solutions in what you face. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with patients and other staff, as well as document what the operation requires. Since the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.

Requirements:
- licensed occupational therapist
- B driver's license, manual transmission
Meritorious:
- experience working as an occupational therapist in elderly care
- experience working with short-term care and rehabilitation
- experience supervising nursing staff
- experience documenting in operational systems (e.g., Treserva)
