Patients come to us who need surgery in the hip or knee joint followed by osteoarthritis, as well as patients who have experienced some form of complication within our specialty area. This may include infections, periprosthetic fractures, or dislocations. Our ward is primarily staffed by experienced nursing assistants who can offer great collegial support. With us, you will receive a safe and individualized introduction based on your needs. The orthopedic and hand surgery area provides university healthcare and clinical research at the region's three hospitals: Örebro University Hospital, Karlskoga Hospital, and Lindesberg Hospital. The area provides care across the entire orthopedic field, including highly specialized care. A comprehensive restructuring is underway to improve accessibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The establishment of a clinical research unit is an important part of the development work.

As a nursing assistant with us, you will work closely with patients both before and after their surgery and at times in a high-paced work environment. Typical nursing assistant tasks include care work, monitoring, sampling, mobilization, and rehabilitation, which are a natural part of your workday. A significant part of your job will be to motivate and guide patients to take responsibility for their continued rehabilitation after discharge from the ward. You will work closely with various professionals such as nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, occupational therapists, dietitians, and doctors every day. Supervision of students and interns is part of the job.

We are looking for someone who is a nursing assistant, preferably with experience from surgical and/or acute care. It is also an advantage if you have previously worked in a ward focused on rehabilitation. As a person, you thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on the patient. You have good communication skills, command good Swedish in both speech and writing, and have a positive attitude, the ability to work flexibly, and great commitment! Personal qualities are highly valued.

We welcome you who are a trained nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on acute care according to the previous program structure, or are a trained nursing assistant within the current program structure. To assess employability, transcripts from your healthcare education and proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare regarding protected professional title must be attached to your application.
