About us

Preschool Gläntan is located in close proximity to large natural areas in Sätra with access to Lake Mälaren.

Our goal is to nurture secure, curious, creative, and initiative-taking children, who through play find joy in learning and exploring together with others.

Our preschool has been working with learning for sustainable development and teaching based on the curriculum inspired by the Reggio Emilia pedagogy since 1994, with the same management and owner (Moa Gehlin, who will also be your mentor), which is the foundation for high quality and a structured and safe preschool that follows the developments in the preschool world.

According to Moa Gehlin, who has been the owner and CEO since the start in 1994, an important part of the success of Preschool Gläntan is the staff's conscious approach towards children and sustainable learning. The goal is a preschool with co-researching, active educators who encourage and inspire children to ask productive questions.

Regardless of the prioritized goal the preschool works towards, the foundation of the work is that children learn by discovering and experimenting in a unique environment.

Preschool Gläntan is a meeting place with three departments for children aged 1-5 years.

Job Description

As a preschool teacher with us, you will take on a leading role where you plan the work, carry out follow-ups, and analyze to improve and develop the operations together with the team.

We are looking for someone who wants to work with us at Preschool Gläntan; currently, we have eight preschool teachers and three childcare workers across three departments. We prefer that you have worked in preschool for a few years before training as a preschool teacher.

We want you to help build and develop learning environments with your own ideas that inspire and invite exploration and play, where children are always at the center.

With the help of tools such as observation, documentation, and reflection, we make children's learning processes visible and determine the direction for the next steps in the pedagogical work.

In the work of developing the operations, there is also a curious and active management, an Ateljerista who will be your sounding board, providing ideas and tips to enrich your professionalism.

We see pedagogical documentation as an obvious part of our systematic quality work, as well as good collegial collaboration with several preschool teachers where we create conditions for children's learning in project work.

In various meeting forums, you will discuss and reflect together with colleagues about children's exploration and learning.

Moa has a very unique and solid background with her upbringing in Italy in a well-known artistic family.

Qualifications

We are now looking for someone who has a preschool teacher education and a preschool teacher license with several years of experience as a preschool teacher.

We welcome male applicants as we want a mixed group of male and female preschool teachers.
