Job Advertisement: Night Assistant for Teenager in Märsta

Are you a responsible person who wants to contribute to a teenage boy's safety and well-being during the night? Then you might be the important person we are looking for!

The client is a cheerful and lively teenage boy who lives in a separate part of the family villa in Märsta. The client is in a wheelchair and has a combined visual and hearing impairment (deafblindness), cerebral palsy, epilepsy, mucus problems, and PEG (feeding tube). We communicate using tactile sign language and spoken Swedish.

Due to his epilepsy and mucus problems, the client requires constant supervision during the night. The awake night assistant primarily helps him with personal hygiene and positioning, as well as feeding via PEG, administering inhalations, and medications.

Role and Experience of the Assistant

An interest in learning tactile sign language is a must, but no prior knowledge is required – all training is provided on-site! We are looking for someone who is confident and patient. You need to be responsible, have good documentation skills, and enjoy collaborating in our cheerful assistant team.

Preferred Experiences

• Swedish spoken and written is a requirement.
• Experience working awake nights.
• Experience in care and support.
• Experience working with children.
• Sign language is a plus.
• Experience with sign communication/alternative communication.
• Experience with epilepsy.
• Experience with feeding tubes (PEG).
• Experience with mucus problems.
• Smoke and perfume-free.

Working Hours and Employment Rate

• Hourly employment that may lead to a part-time position in the future.
• Awake night, rolling schedule.
